This event takes place in conjunction with activities celebrating the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (November 7, 1981 – November 7, 2026). In the spirit of harmony and promoting the strength of the great national unity block, the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) cordially invites venerable monks and nuns, Buddhist practices, associations, and all our overseas compatriots to:
- Continue to actively spread the Buddhist values of peace, compassion, and wisdom to international friends.
- Accompany and contribute your intellect and efforts to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in building agendas, cultural contents, etc.
- Send letters or congratulatory messages to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha on the occasion of this momentous event (for overseas Vietnamese Buddhist organizations in the local area, in the spirit of voluntariness and in accordance with host country laws).
- Share ideas contributing to the continued positive development of Buddhism in the future.
This event honors the values of peace, compassion, and wisdom, while affirming the consistent policy of the Communist Party and State of Vietnam in respecting and guaranteeing the right to freedom of belief and religion. Through this, the cultural identity and long-standing tradition of "protecting the nation and securing the people" of Vietnamese Buddhism will be widely introduced to international friends across the five continents.
The Embassy stands ready to receive and listen to the opinions, aspirations, and cooperation proposals of our compatriots regarding the preservation of the Vietnamese language, the promotion of national culture, caring for the younger generation, and connecting the community, in order to coordinate with domestic agencies for support when necessary.
