Mới đây, Đại sứ Đặc mệnh toàn quyền Việt Nam tại Tanzania Vũ Thanh Huyền cùng đoàn công tác Đại sứ quán đã tới tham quan và làm việc tại Hội chợ Thương mại Quốc tế Dar es Salaam lần thứ 50 DITF - Golden Jubilee. Tại sự kiện, Tổng Giám đốc Cơ quan Phát triển Thương mại Tanzania-TanTrade, Tiến sĩ Latifa M. Khamis, đã trực tiếp đón tiếp đón Đại sứ và đoàn công tác.

Thắt chặt quan hệ ngoại giao và kinh tế

Buổi tham quan diễn ra vào ngày 29 tháng 6 năm 2026, sự hiện diện của Đại sứ Vũ Thanh Huyền thể hiện sự ủng hộ mạnh mẽ của Việt Nam đối với cột mốc kỷ niệm 50 năm của sự kiện thương mại quy mô nhất Tanzania.

Trong khuôn khổ buổi tiếp đón, Tổng Giám đốc TanTrade, Tiến sĩ Latifa M. Khamis, bày tỏ niềm vinh hạnh khi được đón tiếp Đại sứ Việt Nam. Bà đánh giá cao mối quan hệ hợp tác truyền thống tốt đẹp giữa hai nước, đồng thời nhấn mạnh vai trò của ngày hội giao thương Sabasaba trong việc kết nối đầu tư quốc tế và mở rộng cơ hội phát triển cho các doanh nghiệp.

Điểm nhấn gian hàng công nghệ Việt Nam

Sau lễ đón tiếp, Đại sứ Vũ Thanh Huyền cùng đoàn công tác đã tiến hành tham quan các khu vực trưng bày lớn tại hội chợ. Điểm dừng chân trọng tâm của đoàn là gian hàng triển lãm của Halotel (Viettel Tanzania) – thương hiệu viễn thông mang tính biểu tượng cho sự hợp tác kinh tế song phương thành công giữa Việt Nam và Tanzania.

Tại đây, Đại sứ đã gửi lời chúc mừng chân thành tới Halotel, đồng thời bày tỏ niềm tự hào trước hình ảnh một thương hiệu Việt Nam hiện diện nổi bật tại sân chơi thương mại quốc tế lớn nhất khu vực Đông Phi. Đại sứ đặc biệt ghi nhận thông điệp ý nghĩa mà Halotel mang đến triển lãm năm nay: "Công nghệ từ trái tim" – nơi mỗi kết nối không đơn thuần là tín hiệu viễn thông, mà là sợi dây gắn kết con người, cộng đồng và tương lai.

Đại sứ Vũ Thanh Huyền đã động viên ban lãnh đạo và cán bộ nhân viên Halotel tiếp tục phát huy năng lực công nghệ, cung cấp các giải pháp chuyển đổi số chất lượng cao, đóng góp tích cực vào hạ tầng viễn thông và an sinh xã hội tại nước sở tại.

Chuyến thăm của đoàn công tác Đại sứ quán Việt Nam tại Tanzania kết thúc tốt đẹp, tiếp tục mở ra những kỳ vọng mới về việc xúc tiến thương mại, tăng cường kim ngạch xuất nhập khẩu và thắt chặt tình hữu nghị bền chặt giữa hai quốc gia trong thời gian tới./.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Viet Nam to the United Republic of Tanzania Vu Thanh Huyen, accompanied by officials of the Embassy, recently paid a visit to the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) – the Golden Jubilee edition of Tanzania’s largest annual trade exhibition. The delegation was warmly received by Dr. Latifa M. Khamis, Director General of the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade).

Strengthening Diplomatic and Economic Relations

The visit, which took place on 29 June 2026, demonstrated Viet Nam’s strong support for this landmark event celebrating five decades of promoting trade and investment in Tanzania.

Welcoming the Vietnamese delegation, Dr. Latifa M. Khamis expressed her pleasure at receiving Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen and highlighted the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Tanzania. She also underscored the important role of the Sabasaba Trade Fair in fostering international investment partnerships and creating new business opportunities for enterprises from around the world.

Highlighting Vietnamese Technology at the Exhibition

Following the welcoming ceremony, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen and the Embassy delegation toured several major exhibition areas. A key highlight of the visit was the Halotel (Viettel Tanzania) pavilion, which stands as a successful symbol of the growing economic partnership between Viet Nam and Tanzania.

During the visit, the Ambassador congratulated Halotel on its achievements and expressed pride in seeing a Vietnamese brand prominently represented at one of the largest international trade events in East Africa. She particularly commended Halotel’s exhibition theme this year, “Technology from the Heart,” which conveys the message that technology is not merely about telecommunications, but also about connecting people, communities and the future.

The Ambassador encouraged Halotel’s management and staff to continue leveraging their technological strengths, delivering high-quality digital transformation solutions, and making further contributions to the development of Tanzania’s telecommunications infrastructure and social welfare.

The visit concluded successfully, opening up new prospects for promoting bilateral trade, expanding commercial exchanges, and further strengthening the enduring friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Tanzania.
