Trong khuôn khổ chương trình, Đại sứ quán Việt Nam tại Tanzania tổ chức Tọa đàm “Hồ Chí Minh – Hành trình di sản: Tư tưởng Hồ Chí Minh và hợp tác phát triển Việt Nam – Đông Phi”, nhằm giới thiệu những giá trị trong tư tưởng, đạo đức và phong cách Hồ Chí Minh, đồng thời tạo diễn đàn trao đổi về lịch sử quan hệ Việt Nam – châu Phi và triển vọng hợp tác giữa Việt Nam với khu vực Đông Phi.

Tại tọa đàm, Đại sứ Vũ Thanh Huyền trình bày tham luận về tư tưởng Hồ Chí Minh đối với độc lập dân tộc và đoàn kết quốc tế, nhấn mạnh đây là những giá trị có ý nghĩa lâu dài đối với quan hệ hữu nghị giữa Việt Nam và các dân tộc châu Phi. Đại sứ đồng thời đề cập những lĩnh vực có nhiều tiềm năng hợp tác trong giai đoạn mới như thương mại, công nghệ, nông nghiệp, giáo dục, chuyển đổi số và giao lưu nhân dân.​

Đại sứ Fekadu Beyene Ayana chia sẻ về những điểm tương đồng trong tư tưởng giải phóng dân tộc của Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh và các nhà lãnh đạo tiền bối châu Phi như Kwame Nkrumah, Jomo Kenyatta, Julius Nyerere và Patrice Lumumba, qua đó nhấn mạnh những giá trị chung về độc lập, quyền tự quyết, đoàn kết dân tộc, tự lực, tự cường và đoàn kết quốc tế.​

Từ góc độ học thuật, ông David S. Muya, đại diện Khoa Quan hệ quốc tế, Đại học Dar es Salaam, đề cập vai trò của giáo dục và thế hệ trẻ trong việc tiếp nối tình hữu nghị Việt Nam – Đông Phi. Ông nhấn mạnh cần tăng cường trao đổi sinh viên, giảng viên, nhà nghiên cứu và thúc đẩy các dự án hợp tác trong những lĩnh vực thiết thực như nông nghiệp, an ninh lương thực, chuyển đổi số, đào tạo nghề và ứng phó với biến đổi khí hậu.​

Đại diện cộng đồng doanh nghiệp, ông Bùi Văn Thắng, Tổng Giám đốc Halotel Tanzania, giới thiệu mô hình hoạt động của Halotel như một minh chứng cho hợp tác Nam – Nam, qua đó khẳng định vai trò của doanh nghiệp Việt Nam trong phát triển hạ tầng viễn thông, ứng dụng công nghệ và kết nối cộng đồng tại Tanzania.​

Các đại biểu tham dự đánh giá cao ý nghĩa của tọa đàm, đồng thời trao đổi về những cơ hội thúc đẩy hợp tác Việt Nam – Đông Phi trong các lĩnh vực thương mại, đầu tư, nông nghiệp, viễn thông, khoa học – công nghệ, giáo dục – đào tạo và giao lưu nhân dân.​

Lễ kỷ niệm và tọa đàm diễn ra trong không khí trang trọng, hữu nghị và cởi mở, góp phần tăng cường sự hiểu biết giữa Việt Nam với Tanzania, Ethiopia và các quốc gia Đông Phi. Sự tham dự của các chính khách, học giả, nhà ngoại giao, doanh nghiệp và cộng đồng người Việt Nam thể hiện sự quan tâm và tình cảm của bạn bè quốc tế đối với Việt Nam, đồng thời tạo thêm cơ hội kết nối và hợp tác giữa các bên.

​Thông qua chương trình, Đại sứ quán Việt Nam tại Tanzania khẳng định tiếp tục phát huy vai trò cầu nối, thúc đẩy quan hệ hữu nghị và hợp tác với Tanzania, Ethiopia và các quốc gia Đông Phi; tăng cường giao lưu giữa các cơ quan, tổ chức, doanh nghiệp, cơ sở giáo dục và nhân dân, góp phần đưa quan hệ Việt Nam – Đông Phi ngày càng phát triển thực chất, hiệu quả và bền vững.

As part of the programme, the Embassy of Viet Nam in Tanzania organised the symposium “Ho Chi Minh – A Journey of Legacy: Ho Chi Minh Thought and Viet Nam–East Africa Development Cooperation”, with the aim of introducing the values embodied in President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style, while providing a forum for exchanges on the history of Viet Nam–Africa relations and the prospects for cooperation between Viet Nam and the East African region.

At the symposium, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen delivered a presentation on Ho Chi Minh Thought regarding national independence and international solidarity, emphasising that these values have enduring significance for the friendship between Viet Nam and African peoples. The Ambassador also highlighted areas with strong potential for cooperation in the new period, including trade, technology, agriculture, education, digital transformation and people-to-people exchanges.

Ambassador Fekadu Beyene Ayana shared his views on similarities between President Ho Chi Minh’s ideas on national liberation and those of prominent African leaders such as Kwame Nkrumah, Jomo Kenyatta, Julius Nyerere and Patrice Lumumba, highlighting shared values of independence, self-determination, national unity, self-reliance and international solidarity.

From an academic perspective, Mr. David S. Muya, representing the University of Dar es Salaam, discussed the role of education and younger generations in carrying forward Viet Nam–East Africa friendship. He stressed the need to enhance exchanges among students, lecturers and researchers and to promote cooperation projects in practical areas such as agriculture, food security, digital transformation, vocational training and climate change response.

Representing the business community, Mr. Bui Van Thang, Director General of Halotel Tanzania, introduced Halotel’s operating model as an example of South–South cooperation, thereby affirming the role of Vietnamese enterprises in developing telecommunications infrastructure, applying technology and connecting communities in Tanzania.

Participants highly appreciated the significance of the symposium and exchanged views on opportunities to promote Viet Nam–East Africa cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, telecommunications, science and technology, education and training, and people-to-people exchanges.

The ceremony and symposium took place in a solemn, friendly and open atmosphere, contributing to greater mutual understanding between Viet Nam and Tanzania, Ethiopia and other East African countries. The participation of politicians, scholars, diplomats, businesses and the Vietnamese community reflected the interest and goodwill of international friends towards Viet Nam, while creating further opportunities for networking and cooperation among the parties.

Through the programme, the Embassy of Viet Nam in Tanzania reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to serve as a bridge for promoting friendship and cooperation with Tanzania, Ethiopia and other East African countries; strengthening exchanges among agencies, organisations, businesses, educational institutions and peoples; and contributing to the increasingly substantive, effective and sustainable development of Viet Nam–East Africa relations.
