Nhân dịp kỷ niệm Quốc khánh nước Cộng hòa xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam (2/9) và 50 năm thiết lập quan hệ ngoại giao Việt Nam – Ethiopia (1976–2026), Ngày 28/8/2026 Đại sứ quán Việt Nam tại Tanzania tổ chức Lễ kỷ niệm tại Dar es Salaam, với sự tham dự của đông đảo đại diện các cơ quan, tổ chức, giới học giả, doanh nghiệp và bạn bè quốc tế tại Tanzania.

Sự kiện vinh dự có sự hiện diện của Đại sứ Việt Nam tại Tanzania Vũ Thanh Huyền; Đại sứ Ethiopia tại Tanzania Fekadu Beyene Ayana; ông David S. Muya, đại diện Khoa Quan hệ quốc tế, Đại học Dar es Salaam (UDSM); ông Bùi Văn Thắng, Tổng Giám đốc Halotel Tanzania, cùng các chính khách, học giả Tanzania, các Đại sứ, Trưởng các cơ quan đại diện ngoại giao và tổ chức quốc tế tại Tanzania, đại diện các doanh nghiệp Tanzania và Ethiopia, Viettel Tanzania – Halotel, Viettel Burundi – Lumitel, Ethiopian Airlines, Lãnh sự danh dự Việt Nam tại khu vực và đông đảo cộng đồng người Việt Nam tại Tanzania.

Phát biểu tại buổi lễ, Đại sứ Việt Nam Vũ Thanh Huyền gửi lời cảm ơn tới các đại biểu và bạn bè quốc tế đã dành thời gian tham dự sự kiện, đồng thời nhấn mạnh ý nghĩa của ngày Quốc khánh 2/9 – dấu mốc trọng đại trong lịch sử dân tộc Việt Nam. Đại sứ điểm lại những thành tựu nổi bật của Việt Nam trong công cuộc xây dựng và phát triển đất nước, cũng như những kết quả quan trọng trong công tác đối ngoại và hội nhập quốc tế.

Đại sứ Vũ Thanh Huyền khẳng định Việt Nam luôn coi trọng quan hệ hữu nghị và hợp tác với các nước châu Phi, đặc biệt là các đối tác tại khu vực Đông Phi. Việt Nam trân trọng sự ủng hộ, đồng hành của các quốc gia và bạn bè trong khu vực, đồng thời mong muốn tiếp tục tăng cường quan hệ trên cơ sở tôn trọng lẫn nhau, bình đẳng, cùng có lợi và hướng tới những kết quả hợp tác thiết thực.

Đối với quan hệ Việt Nam – Ethiopia, Đại sứ nhấn mạnh năm 2026 đánh dấu 50 năm hai nước thiết lập quan hệ ngoại giao. Đây là dịp quan trọng để hai bên nhìn lại chặng đường hợp tác, phát huy những nền tảng hữu nghị đã được vun đắp qua nhiều thế hệ và hướng tới những cơ hội hợp tác mới. Việt Nam và Ethiopia có nhiều điểm tương đồng về lịch sử đấu tranh giành độc lập, bảo vệ chủ quyền và khát vọng phát triển, tạo nền tảng thuận lợi để tiếp tục thúc đẩy quan hệ song phương trong thời gian tới.

Phát biểu chúc mừng, Đại sứ Ethiopia tại Tanzania Fekadu Beyene Ayana gửi lời chúc mừng nồng nhiệt tới Chính phủ và nhân dân Việt Nam nhân dịp Quốc khánh 2/9, đồng thời đánh giá cao những thành tựu Việt Nam đạt được trong phát triển kinh tế – xã hội và hội nhập quốc tế.

Đại sứ Fekadu Beyene Ayana đặc biệt nhấn mạnh ý nghĩa của 50 năm quan hệ ngoại giao Việt Nam – Ethiopia, coi đây là dấu mốc quan trọng trong quan hệ hữu nghị giữa hai nước. Đại sứ bày tỏ tin tưởng quan hệ Việt Nam – Ethiopia sẽ tiếp tục phát triển tích cực, mở rộng hợp tác trên nhiều lĩnh vực và đóng góp vào việc tăng cường quan hệ giữa Việt Nam với châu Phi.

THE EMBASSY OF VIET NAM IN TANZANIA HOLDS A CEREMONY TO CELEBRATE
VIET NAM’S NATIONAL DAY AND THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF
VIET NAM–ETHIOPIA DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS

On the occasion of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (2 September) and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Ethiopia (1976–2026), the Embassy of Viet Nam in Tanzania held a commemorative ceremony in Dar es Salaam on 28 August 2026, attended by a large number of representatives from government agencies, organisations, academia, the business community and international friends in Tanzania.

The event was honoured by the presence of Ambassador of Viet Nam to Tanzania Vu Thanh Huyen; Ambassador of Ethiopia to Tanzania Fekadu Beyene Ayana; Mr. David S. Muya, representing the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM); Mr. Bui Van Thang, Director General of Halotel Tanzania; as well as Tanzanian politicians and scholars, Ambassadors and Heads of Diplomatic Missions and international organisations in Tanzania, representatives of Tanzanian and Ethiopian businesses, Viettel Tanzania – Halotel, Viettel Burundi – Lumitel, Ethiopian Airlines, Honorary Consuls of Viet Nam in the region, and members of the Vietnamese community in Tanzania.

In her remarks, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen thanked the distinguished guests and international friends for taking the time to attend the event and underscored the significance of National Day on 2 September – a major milestone in the history of the Vietnamese nation. She reviewed Viet Nam’s notable achievements in national construction and development, as well as important progress in foreign affairs and international integration.

Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen affirmed that Viet Nam has always attached importance to friendship and cooperation with African countries, particularly its partners in East Africa. Viet Nam highly values the support and partnership of countries and friends in the region and wishes to continue strengthening relations on the basis of mutual respect, equality, mutual benefit and practical cooperation outcomes.

Regarding Viet Nam–Ethiopia relations, the Ambassador noted that 2026 marks 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. This is an important occasion for both sides to look back on their cooperation, build on the foundations of friendship nurtured over generations and explore new opportunities for cooperation. Viet Nam and Ethiopia share many similarities in their histories of struggles for independence, the defence of sovereignty and aspirations for development, providing a favourable foundation for further advancing bilateral relations in the coming period.

In his congratulatory remarks, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Tanzania Fekadu Beyene Ayana extended warm congratulations to the Government and people of Viet Nam on the occasion of National Day on 2 September and highly appreciated Viet Nam’s achievements in socio-economic development and international integration.

Ambassador Fekadu Beyene Ayana particularly highlighted the significance of the 50th anniversary of Viet Nam–Ethiopia diplomatic relations, describing it as an important milestone in the friendship between the two countries. He expressed confidence that Viet Nam–Ethiopia relations would continue to develop positively, expand cooperation in various fields and contribute to strengthening Viet Nam’s relations with Africa.
