Đại sứ Việt Nam tại Tanzania tiếp Tỉnh trưởng tỉnh Rukwa, con trai Cố Tổng thống Julius Nyerere
Chiều ngày 15/5/2026, tại trụ sở Đại sứ quán Việt Nam ở thủ đô Dar es Salaam, Đại sứ Đặc mệnh Toàn quyền Việt Nam tại Tanzania Vũ Thanh Huyền đã có buổi tiếp thân mật ông Charles Makongoro Nyerere, Tỉnh trưởng tỉnh Rukwa, đồng thời là con trai của Cố Tổng thống kính yêu của nhân dân Tanzania – Ngài Julius Nyerere.
Tại buổi tiếp, Đại sứ Vũ Thanh Huyền bày tỏ niềm vinh hạnh được đón tiếp ông Makongoro Nyerere, nhấn mạnh mối quan hệ hữu nghị truyền thống lâu đời giữa Việt Nam và Tanzania được xây dựng, vun đắp bởi các lãnh đạo tiền bối lỗi lạc, đặc biệt là tình bạn giữa Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh và Cố Tổng thống Julius Nyerere. Đại sứ khẳng định Việt Nam luôn coi trọng mối bang giao này và mong muốn thúc đẩy hợp tác toàn diện với các địa phương của Tanzania.
Trao đổi về tiềm năng hợp tác, Đại sứ Vũ Thanh Huyền đánh giá cao những nguồn lực tự nhiên phong phú của tỉnh Rukwa trong các lĩnh vực nông nghiệp, thủy sản và công nghiệp khai khoáng. Đại sứ cho biết các doanh nghiệp Việt Nam có thế mạnh lớn về công nghệ nông nghiệp, chế biến nông sản, sẵn sàng tìm kiếm cơ hội đầu tư tại Rukwa nhằm nâng cao năng suất và tạo chuỗi giá trị bền vững cho địa phương.
Nhân dịp này, Đại sứ Vũ Thanh Huyền cũng gửi gắm mong muốn chi nhánh Halotel (thương hiệu của Viettel tại Tanzania) tại Rukwa sẽ tiếp tục chủ động, tích cực tham gia vào các hoạt động an sinh xã hội, đồng hành cùng cộng đồng và có thêm nhiều đóng góp thiết thực vào sự phát triển chung của tỉnh.
Về phần mình, Tỉnh trưởng Charles Makongoro Nyerere bày tỏ sự ngưỡng mộ sâu sắc đối với lịch sử đấu tranh giải phóng dân tộc và thành tựu phát triển kinh tế - xã hội vượt bậc của Việt Nam. Thay mặt gia đình Cố Tổng thống Nyerere và chính quyền tỉnh Rukwa, ông chân thành cảm ơn sự đón tiếp trọng thị của Đại sứ quán.
Ông Makongoro Nyerere khẳng định tỉnh Rukwa đang mở rộng cửa chào đón các nhà đầu tư quốc tế; đồng thời đánh giá cao sự hiện diện của Halotel và kỳ vọng vào các doanh nghiệp Việt Nam trong các dự án hạ tầng, khai khoáng, nông nghiệp công nghệ cao. Ông cam kết chính quyền tỉnh sẽ tạo mọi điều kiện thuận lợi nhất về pháp lý và môi trường đầu tư cho doanh nghiệp Việt Nam.
Hai bên nhất trí tiếp tục giữ liên hệ chặt chẽ, thúc đẩy kết nối trực tiếp giữa các cơ quan quản lý và cộng đồng doanh nghiệp hai nước, hướng tới các chương trình hợp tác cụ thể trong tương lai gần, đóng góp thiết thực vào mối quan hệ đối tác hữu nghị bền vững giữa Việt Nam và Tanzania./.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania Receives Rukwa Regional Commissioner, Son of Late President Julius Nyerere
On the afternoon of May 15, 2026, at the Embassy of Vietnam in Dar es Salaam, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Tanzania, H.E. Vu Thanh Huyen, cordially received Mr. Charles Makongoro Nyerere, the Regional Commissioner of Rukwa and the son of the beloved late President of Tanzania, Mwalimu Julius Nyerere.
During the meeting, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen expressed her great honor in welcoming Mr. Makongoro Nyerere. She highlighted the long-standing traditional friendship between Vietnam and Tanzania, built and nurtured by their legendary predecessor leaders, particularly the special bond between President Ho Chi Minh and the late President Julius Nyerere. The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam consistently values this special relationship and wishes to promote comprehensive cooperation with Tanzanian regions.
Discussing cooperation potential, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen highly appreciated the abundant natural resources of Rukwa Region in agriculture, fisheries, and the mining industry. She noted that Vietnamese enterprises possess strong expertise in agricultural technology and agro-processing, and stand ready to explore investment opportunities in Rukwa to help enhance productivity and build sustainable local value chains.
On this occasion, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen also expressed her hope that the Rukwa branch of Halotel (Viettel's brand in Tanzania) will continue to actively participate in social welfare programs, closely engage with the community, and make more practical contributions to the overall development of the region.
For his part, the Rukwa Regional Commissioner, Mr. Charles Makongoro Nyerere, expressed his deep admiration for Vietnam's history of national liberation struggles as well as its remarkable socio-economic achievements in recent years. On behalf of the late President Nyerere’s family and the Rukwa regional government, he sincerely thanked the Vietnamese Embassy for the warm and dignified reception.
Mr. Makongoro Nyerere affirmed that Rukwa Region is wide open to international investors. He highly commended the presence of Halotel and expressed strong expectations for Vietnamese enterprises in infrastructure, mining, high-tech agriculture, and aquaculture projects. He committed that the regional government would provide the most favorable legal frameworks and investment environment for Vietnamese businesses.
Both sides agreed to maintain close contact and foster direct connections between regulatory bodies and the business communities of the two countries. This aims to pave the way for concrete cooperation programs in the near future, making practical contributions to the sustainable friendship and partnership between Vietnam and Tanzania./.
