Dar es Salaam, ngày 19/5/2026, tại trụ sở Đại sứ quán Việt Nam ở thủ đô Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Đại sứ Đặc mệnh toàn quyền Việt Nam Vũ Thanh Huyền đã có buổi tiếp thân mật Đại sứ Đặc mệnh toàn quyền Cộng hòa Dân chủ Liên bang Ethiopia Fekadu Beyene Ayana đến chào xã giao và trao đổi công việc.

Đặc biệt, buổi tiếp diễn ra vào ngày 19/5 – đúng dịp kỷ niệm 136 năm Ngày sinh của Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh vĩ đại. Nhân dịp ý nghĩa này, Đại sứ Vũ Thanh Huyền đã trân trọng mời Đại sứ Fekadu Beyene Ayana cùng các cán bộ ngoại giao hai nước tới dâng hương tại Không gian Hồ Chí Minh được trang trọng tôn trí ngay trong khuôn viên Đại sứ quán.

Trước anh linh của Bác, hai Đại sứ và các đại biểu đã thành kính thắp nén tâm hương, dành một phút mặc niệm để bày tỏ lòng biết ơn sâu sắc đối với vị Lãnh tụ kính yêu của dân tộc Việt Nam, Người anh hùng giải phóng dân tộc, Nhà văn hóa kiệt xuất, người đã đặt nền móng vững chắc cho mối quan hệ hữu nghị và đoàn kết giữa Việt Nam với các quốc gia châu Phi. Đại sứ Fekadu Beyene Ayana bày tỏ sự xúc động và ngưỡng mộ sâu sắc trước cuộc đời, sự nghiệp cách mạng vĩ đại của Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh – nguồn cảm hứng lớn lao cho các phong trào giải phóng dân tộc trên toàn thế giới.

Sau lễ dâng hương, tại buổi tiếp chính thức, Đại sứ Vũ Thanh Huyền khẳng định Việt Nam luôn coi trọng mối quan hệ hữu nghị truyền thống lâu đời với Ethiopia, đặc biệt trong năm 2026 hai quốc gia ghi dấu mốc ý nghĩa kỷ niệm 50 năm ngày thiết lập quan hệ ngoại giao (1976-2026). Đại sứ nhấn mạnh, với vai trò kiêm nhiệm cùng tập thể Đại sứ quán luôn nỗ lực hết sức để thúc đẩy các thỏa thuận hợp tác giữa hai nước đi vào chiều sâu.

Đáp lời, Đại sứ Fekadu Beyene Ayana chúc mừng những thành tựu phát triển của Việt Nam và khẳng định phía Ethiopia sẵn sàng tạo mọi điều kiện thuận lợi nhất để hỗ trợ cơ quan đại diện ngoại giao Việt Nam hoàn thành tốt các nhiệm vụ thúc đẩy quan hệ song phương và đa phương trong khu vực Đông Phi.

Trong không khí thắm tình hữu nghị và hiểu biết lẫn nhau, hai Đại sứ khẳng định cột mốc 50 năm thiết lập quan hệ ngoại giao là nền tảng vững chắc để đưa hợp tác song phương lên tầm cao mới. Trên tinh thần đó, hai bên đã thảo luận sâu rộng về các biện pháp thực chất nhằm khơi thông và tối ưu hóa mọi tiềm năng hợp tác, tập trung vào ba trụ cột cốt lõi: i) Chính trị - Ngoại giao: gia tăng tần suất trao đổi đoàn các cấp và thắt chặt phối hợp, ủng hộ lẫn nhau tại các diễn đàn đa phương, trọng tâm là Liên minh châu Phi (AU); ii) Kinh tế - Thương mại - Đầu tư: đẩy mạnh kết nối cộng đồng doanh nghiệp trong các lĩnh vực thế mạnh như nông nghiệp, dệt may; đồng thời nhân rộng các mô hình đầu tư viễn thông thành công mang tính biểu tượng như Halotel; iii) Giao lưu nhân dân: hiện thực hóa các chương trình hợp tác về văn hóa, giáo dục và du lịch nhằm bắc nhịp cầu hiểu biết, gắn kết thế hệ trẻ hai nước.

Kết thúc buổi tiếp, hai bên bày tỏ quyết tâm và niềm tin tưởng sâu sắc rằng, tinh thần hữu nghị và hợp tác giữa Việt Nam và Ethiopia sẽ ngày càng phát triển bền vững, mang lại lợi ích thiết thực cho nhân dân hai nước./.

Dar es Salaam, 19 May 2026 – At the headquarters of the Embassy of Viet Nam in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, H.E. Ms. Vu Thanh Huyen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, held a cordial meeting with H.E. Mr. Fekadu Beyene Ayana, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, who paid a courtesy call and exchanged views on bilateral cooperation.

Notably, the meeting took place on 19 May, marking the 136th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh. On this meaningful occasion, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen respectfully invited Ambassador Fekadu Beyene Ayana and diplomats from both countries to offer incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Space solemnly arranged within the Embassy compound.

Before the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, the two Ambassadors and delegates respectfully offered incense and observed a minute of silence to express their profound gratitude to the beloved leader of the Vietnamese people, the national liberation hero, and eminent man of culture, who laid a solid foundation for the friendship and solidarity between Viet Nam and African nations. Ambassador Fekadu Beyene Ayana expressed his deep emotion and admiration for the great revolutionary life and legacy of President Ho Chi Minh, which has served as a tremendous source of inspiration for national liberation movements around the world.

Following the incense offering ceremony, during the official meeting, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen reaffirmed that Viet Nam always attaches great importance to its long-standing traditional friendship with Ethiopia, especially as the two countries commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2026 (1976–2026). The Ambassador emphasized that, in her concurrent capacity together with the Embassy staff, every effort is being made to deepen the implementation of cooperation agreements between the two countries.

In response, Ambassador Fekadu Beyene Ayana congratulated Viet Nam on its remarkable development achievements and affirmed that Ethiopia stands ready to create the most favorable conditions to support the Vietnamese diplomatic mission in fulfilling its role in promoting bilateral and multilateral relations within the East African region.

In an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, the two Ambassadors affirmed that the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations serves as a solid foundation for elevating bilateral cooperation to a new height. In this spirit, the two sides held extensive discussions on practical measures to unlock and maximize all cooperation potential, focusing on three core pillars: (i) Politics and Diplomacy: increasing the frequency of delegation exchanges at all levels and strengthening coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums, particularly the African Union (AU); (ii) Economy, Trade and Investment: enhancing connectivity between business communities in areas of mutual strength such as agriculture and textiles, while replicating successful and symbolic telecommunications investment models such as Halotel; and (iii) People-to-People Exchange: implementing cooperation programmes in culture, education and tourism to foster mutual understanding and strengthen ties between the younger generations of both countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their determination and strong confidence that the spirit of friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Ethiopia will continue to develop sustainably and bring practical benefits to the peoples of both countries.
